Stealing Breath opens with Sarah searching woods because she thought she heard the Jessica, a missing child, calling out for help. She's attacked by a strange ghost like creature but manages to escape. Evan happens to be wandering the woods too and comes to the rescue.

This book was decent enough, it just didn't really catch my attention. I liked Sarah and amber and Kate and Evan and paulette. Stefano, I wanted to hate but just couldn't. I feel sorry for him and kind of understand why he is how he is, a sick twisted man. It seems that he has never been shown love, not by his father, not by his mother. Evan on the other hand was shown love by his mother, who protected from the time of his birth. Thinking abut that makes me want to read stetano's POV, especially of his and Evan's childhood.

I also didn't like all of the foreign words she used. I couldn't keep straight what meant what. I felt like she never fully said what each word meant, leaving the reader drawing a blank.

Stealing breath was a decent read involving native American and Italian witches. it's definafy worth your time if that's what you like.
